LiveCD's

Try out a dialer without doing any install, or altering an existing server, by booting off OSDial LiveCD's! (One is needed for the server and another for the agent.)

Requirements are simple. About 1GB RAM and a modern DVD/CD player in each computer, be on the same network and for the server to have internet access in order to make calls.

Boot the server first, the agent will be detected by the server when it comes up and automatically configured.

The agent includes a VoIP phone which will be autoconfigured as the first available agent. The audio card will be autodetected. We recommend using a headset as loudspeakers can generate feedback through the microphone.

Sound devices can be configured via the audio icon on the right side.

The VoIP trunk uses udp port 4569.

Download OSDial images here: OSDial Ver 2.2. NOTE: As soon as the install is completed, update to the latest fixes by logging in as root and running:

  yum update osdial

Of course the changes will not hold when you power off the computer, but you can run with the latest updates, including surviving a soft reboot.

(Contact sales for activation of a limited test VoIP account, US-48 only.)
