Other Dialers

When you look at an alternative dialer such as OSDial, you will quickly realize the huge difference in Return Of Investment, as well as the Low Cost of Ownership, that OSDial represents.

Clients frequently tell us that they were given quotes such as $130K for 48 seats, and $60K for 24 seats. In comparison, CCSG can provide a working installation by using either your own hardware and a $1,250 set up fee, or our full hardware solutions (which buys peace of mind and a ready to dial system) at a mere $19K for 48 seats and $10K for 24 seats. Each solution can also include an archive server for long term storage of recordings, starting at about $3K. We include three year warranty, three year next business day on-site support on the hardware (US/Canada only). Other configurations are also available.

Finally, you have the option to install and configure it yourself. OSDial is marketed as an OpenSource product, which in essence allows us to give away the product at no cost. In return this results in us gaining an order of magnitude more users, users who return to us for training, support and customizations. A thriving field also provides better long term survival versus charging a fee up front.

Being able to use it for free, in this case, does not mean it is not valuable. IDC estimated that by 2011 Linux (OpenSource) business will be worth $49B, while another report says that in 2008, Linux business was worth $25B, in line with IDC's projected growth curve. Due to this open nature of OpenSource programs, where everybody can see how well a program was written, the developers are on their best behavior as their work is open to the world. Unlike commercial programs where you usually never can get the opportunity to see how well, or poorly it was written, OSDial is open and comes with all the code needed for you to modify it. This is a big reason behind why OpenSource is generally considered higher quality.

OSDial has no license fees, no mandatory support fees, or any other fees of any kind that you must pay to remain operational and in full control. You can buy the type of support from us that fits your needs and budget, but it is entirely optional.

All your call records, lists, etc., are yours. Unlike some, we don't claim to own the information in your dialer and will be glad to help you export it in any fashion. OSDial is based on the idea that it's there to make things open and simple for you, the client. As the client, you can dictate what you need and want. The license also allows people to modify the software freely as long as they recognize the author if they distribute the product with those changes.

OSDial currently scales to 500 seats and has the ability to load-balance between dialers. Agents can use any Operating System that includes a browser. As a result, you no longer need to pay license fees to Apple or Microsoft if you choose a free Operating System, such as Linux or BSD.

Having a much higher reliability level, these Operating Systems also allow for easy lockdown, in which agents cannot do anything that you have not specified. This includes browsing the Internet, or going to any website that you have not approved. Adding instant messaging allows you to talk to agents, and vice versa, without allowing them to talk to each other, enables easy coaching that does not interrupt the sales call the way verbal coaching would. Then if needed, you can barge-in or take over the call.

Clients who have been using dialers such as Noble/Amcat, SunDialer, MarkeTel, Stratasoft, Telescript, SpitFire, Digisoft, Aspect Unison and TouchStar, hosted services from Five9, Datatel and Promero, have expressed excitement after switching to or comparing with OSDial.

When we use your own servers you must be aware that the quality of the machines needs to be high to sustain the load. Our staff will be happy to go over the details with you. If you don't want to take any chances and prefer peace of mind, CCSG has OSDial installed, configured, and ready-to-go on certified servers.

Further integration is possible. OSDial is built around a computerized phone system (Asterisk) which can replace your normal phone system and give you all the features that a $25K phone system has - voicemail, email notification, hold, transfer, redirect, special handling depending on day of week/time, caller's caller-ID, etc, etc. It can, for example, automatically route calls depending on their caller-ID, or by the number they dialed, ring to many phones (at the same time), or in a predefined sequence when nobody is answering.

If you have more than one office with broadband, all calls between them will be without any additional cost, regardless where in the world they are. If your staff are working from home and they have broadband, you can also extend the system to their homes for free. Otherwise normal phone rates would apply. This type of tight integration can facilitate very flexible call handling.

The above capabilities, and many more, are all included in the dialer..

Note: Some scenarios may require you to use a different server to avoid degrading the dialer performance.
